Marshmallows and Speghetti

When planning summer crafts a few weeks back I had an idea to make this using straws, Addy then said mom y not use speghetti so it is more sturdy and easy to break into dif. sizes. So last night when Addy was bored...I pulled out the mini mellows and some speghetti and just let her create away! This is what she came up with. Even better, overnight the mellows hardened and her creation is amazingly sturdy and as u can see makes a great "bed" for one of her furry friends :)

For Addy's Bday she got a book on how to make bracelets out of safety pins...we had SO much fun today making 2 from the book. She is even using one as a "crown" for her monkey. Who knew what u could do with pins n beads :)

Since Cole and I were not feeling well today, on the way back from the Doctor we stopped at hobby lobby. I was going to buy some air dry clay to make interesting creatures with but then saw a bag of rubber bands for .99 sooo idea hit me! We can make our own..bought these balls firmer than styrofoam and 6 bucks later had our project. The second we got home the kids wanted to start, I put in a movie and we all started wrapping. It was a fun craft filled w/laughs when the bands would fly in the air!

Summer Break Ramblings....

School has been out for almost a week now. The kid's and I have been busy having fun, enjoying friends, and also continuing to learn. The time is zipping on by! Cole graduated from the D.A.R.E. program at his school--

Cole is now getting ready for the 6th grade! Some ups and downs this year with the new school and changes but we are hoping for the best next year. My main focus is to keep his Happy Spirit and never let that get crushed if I can help it ;) Even though school is out... I don't let my kids stop learning. This year I made up Educational Binders for both kids and also a friend of Cole's. I searched the internet for the best Teacher resources and printed out 100's of worksheets, Writing Prompts, Brain Teasers...anything to keep their minds bright and not b.o.r.e.d. Here is a pic of the kids working today--->

They each had an awards ceremony Addison was awarded "Most likely to become a Professional Athlete" along with other acedemic awards. She can pass that football almost further than her dad! Cole received an award for completing the D.A.R.E. program and also an Essay Character Counts. --->

I am soo happy to have Cole and Addison home and enjoy the time with them both. No big vaca planned yet but we are working on some camping trips here and there. The pool has been a blessing and they have been in and out of it each and every day almost since March. Hope my family and friends are doing well, blessings to you all! Happy Summer!

~Lucky 13~

The number 13 seems to carry this unlucky trait along with it..but in my case and life 13 is one of my very luckiest numbers, 7 would be next. So this Feb 28th Dale and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary!! We were so lucky to even get tickets to see Linkin Park live in concert on the evening of our anniversary. WOWZERS did they rock live...seriously A M A Z I N G! I rode the light-rail for the first time... that was in experience. I walked in these dangerous boots with long pointy heels and was so proud that I did not trip, fall, or make a fool of myself. Dale and I had bets going if I would break an ankle or not. (I won)

We had such a great time and enjoyed the evening away and stayed at The San Carlos Hotel downtown Phoenix. Supposedly the Hotel is "Haunted" although we did not encounter anything strange but really enjoyed the architecture of the 1900's. I especially loved the original lighting fixtures they kept and all the history.
Back to the number 13... I was born on the 13th, and sure enough Dale was too! So yeah I happen to really like that number this year. Extra special meaning ;) Share some of the <3 with ya:

Aren't those light fixtures gorgeous? I have soo many more light/chandelier pics but wanted to share my favs of them. Dale took me to an Irish Pub (first time for me), fun way to start out the evening. If you ever have the chance to see Linkin Park Live...you will be blown away :)

Cole is turning 11 on the 20th... YES 11...soon he will be a teen, driving, high-school. I cannot even comprehend that my kiddos are getting so big and independent. They both just finished Soccer and were awesome! They played on the same team this along with some friends. It was the coldest season of 7pm games/practices, ever!

We even had some time over a few weekends to re-build our garden! Dale put all the nice pavers around it and we built it up about 1-2 feet more. Dale also built a nice new trellis to hold our grape vines. The kids helped with everything from planting the seeds to watering even building the trellis. Now we need to make a compost bin to feed our garden some yummies and Addy always loves playing with the worms we buy for it ;) We even have a strawberry plant this year.. so exciting!

Upon reading my Niece's blog post Connection I decided to take part in a project she was inspired by from Ali Edwards, word for the year. Instead of a list of New Year's Resolutions, you choose one word. It took me a while but I have finally come up with the perfect word that fits me just right. See if you can guess it is while watching this quick video..... My one word on how I plan to make this year better than any year yet!

My 1 word..... baLaNce. I find that as a Mother, Friend, and Wife I struggle with finding balance in my everyday life. Keeping up with my kids activities, homework, and everyday effort to instill in them great values. Being here and there and everywhere at once but it has never been enough. Giving time to Dale just to talk at night when the kids go to sleep has been an enormous strain. I need some balance in my life. I feel like a rubber band being stretched 1,000 different directions.. This has to change. I need to feel at peace in my life. I need balance, through this year I will keep you updated with how I am doing and hopefully my quest to find some balance in my life will be fulfilled.

I am SO happily married to the love of my life for 13 years come February 28th, Dale has been the very very best friend to me in the entire world. Without him I would have no balance and fall off the scales. He has helped me in so many incomprehensible ways in my life.

I also hope I can actually find a fix* to my balance issues (Meneire's Disease) that has really put my life to a halt and those close to me.

Hiking, Treating, and much more fun!

Not only have been neglecting my blog, my website, and processing photographs..I have neglected my life. It has been quite a whirl wind the last few months and I am still trying to catch my breath and just breathe through each day. We found out this week that Dale is one of the very lucky/blessed few to still keep his job at Pulte homes. He has lost several good friends and to say it has been stressful is a large understatement. But today we are thankful he does still have a job, and pray for our friends that our out of work right now. That saying life get's in the way always seems to ring true for me. I have these great intentions of getting back into having "me" time and crafting and hardly have the motivation to write this small entry, which maybe only a few eyes will even read.

SO we had a fun Halloween with the kids, we went trick or treating with some great friends and the kids had a complete blast! We could open a candy store with all their loot! Yesterday we decided to get out of the house and take the kids for a hike in Payson called "Diamond Point" there we walked for hours and shoveled and dug for different Crystals, Geodes, and Fossils. We came home with quite the stash! Below are some photos from our hike and also halloween...enjoy! ~ <3 j

This was the very first camping trip that I actually felt like I was all alone and out in the wild. The HUGE bugs were biting, rain falling, clouds, hot n' cold.....wow. Completely different than other camping trips. I was frozen, hot, sun burnt, shivering, bug bitten, (whining will stop..) and shocked! I still cannot believe that it was so cold at night and hot during the day....living in AZ I am used to this type of weather...BUT not the bugs. OH MY../... We decided last minute to take a camping trip to Willow Springs Lake and enjoy the outdoors~ I nearly swallowed a HUGE beetle----(ewwwwwwww grossness) , Addison caught her very first Bass (on her own) and Blue Gill...along with a strangler craw fish. Cole patiently waited..no luck for him ): He got very frustrated, I tried to encourage him to wait and just be patient but it was hard, fishing is hard.....He will catch them next time! . I enjoy the space of being in the middle of nowhere and taking photographs of the little 'things' the things you may miss upon just walking past. I try to soak up every moment of God's beauty that I can. Cole and Addison had so much fun running in the woods getting firewood and searching for treasures. Addison made a 'walking stick' from a branch she found. Cole lit the fire and kept us girls safe. ( I needed it ....LOL)

Swimming and Parties!!!!!!

This has been a busy week....We celebrated Father's Day and 3 Birthdays...Addy's, Dale's, and my sis Cari! On top of that we got to fill our pool and get swimming! We have enjoyed picking out some pool toys and furniture, as well as plants/palms to redo our landscape. I have taken a TON of photos as this entire process has taken place. We now have our swing set back up and it looks even better (those photos to I still need to take ;) Addison had a wonderful 8th Birthday! The 3 of us went to see Shrek 3d, very cool!!!!!!!!! We swam late into the night and she enjoyed her own little cake and pizza! This past Sunday we had a party at our home to celebrate. It was a blessing to get the Cousin's together to play! My Nephews Timmy and Kevin are such joy's! Such good times and now we are resting up and trying to get some mental and physical energy back LOL. Hope you all enjoy the photos!

I was inspired by a bowl I saw at Target to go with a brighter color scheme outside. I guess more Eclectic since we have some Mexican pottery mixed in with iron. It is fun to find 1 thing that can spark the inspiration and work off that. Love and Blessings to you!!!!!!!!!!

Anticipation.............

We are filled with anticipation here...waiting for our pool to be complete! It has been such a fun process to watch and I am glad I could be home for so much of it to get photographs. Now we are just waiting for the decking, and the pebble-tec surface for the pool. Then the fun starts with re-planting our landscaping and installing lights etc.. OH and our new garden, this is going to be a busy summer for sure! Addison started Camp Invention today. So all week she will be gone from 8:30-3, ungh this is hard for me. I have only been away from her that long when she is at school. I miss her already :~( Cole started Vacation Bible school (9:30-12) with a close friend Nick. The theme is Outer-Space..very kewl, the Boy's were both soooo excited to be hanging together all week. My children have been so very blessed with amazing friends.

Pool Update w/ lots of pics..

What an enormous amount of work to get the yard ready for the pool Company CA Pools to come in and start the building process..wow! I think it took us 2 entire weekends of non-stop working thank goodness we had some nice weather and didn't fry in the heat. I am going to try and post them in sequence..the quick-crete is going in tomorrow, Monday..after that it will be finished quickly, just the pebble tech and decking..just in time for the kids to cool off in the summer heat. Thursday is their last day of school so the timing is just perfect! The finished pool will have about a 9 ft Baha sitting area and then steps down, a sitting bench in the water, colored led lights that change via remote, as well as a sprayer that will come up and mist the pool to cool the water off and of course for the kids to have fun with. We did holes for a volleyball net, a basketball hoop and also 4 or 5 umbrellas..shade is a must out here! Can't wait to post the finished pics..

Money well spent just to not listen to the kids fighting..hehe!

Growing up my Mother always had me and my siblings doing creative projects. I remember way back going to different painting, pottery, ceramics classes. Even at our summer camp it was very art centered. Always bringing home some creation I had worked all week on. Even if it was just something made out of Popsicle sticks my Mom always made me feel like I had just given her the very best gift in the world. Thanks to the influence from my Mom, my Aunty K and all those wonderful classes-- I grew up with a very creative open mind. Since having children of my own I have really tried to do the same.....let them grow individually but with some guidance. I am so proud and ecstatic that Cole and Addison have a great interest and love for anything creative. In my studio they have their very own work space...including a nice amount of work space in their bedrooms...and honestly wherever they "set up" throughout my home. Sometimes it is the kitchen, other times it may be the family room. I do not care if my home looks messy to friends that come over...I love that it looks lived and loved in. I am working on taking photographs of the art work my Mom saved throughout the years and putting it into a sb page. I hope and pray my kiddos keep this awesome character trait and always want to experiment and try new things! This entry was prompted by Cole watching a video on wiki how to on making wallets out of duct tape. He immediately wanted every color we could find. My home quickly became filled with metallics, tie dye, brights, primaries, every color imaginable of duct tape. In the last few weeks Cole and Addy have made wallets, flowers, flower vases, letters, backpacks, bracelets, folders, mini coin holders..and more. I am so grateful for the aspiration they show and thankful for the creative minds they have. Below are some examples from spring break. (excuse the mess...we were making forts and in duct tape city..LOL!

Garden Time!

This is my favorite time of year here in AZ.....warm enough but not to hot just yet! We decided to plant our garden a bit later this year because It has been cooler here than usual..our tomato plants made it through the winter and are doing great! We will be re-doing the trellis over the garden this weekend for the grapes, big project but it will look SO mucha better! So here are some pics of the kids and Dale planting the seeds. This year we went with- Zucchini, Green Beans, Lettuce, Mixed Greens, Carrots, and a variety of Sunflowers! We will also be making another compost bin so the kids can help fertilize naturally.

The Lily above is like the energizer bunny, we rarely water it, pulled it up several times, and every year it comes back with these gorgeous blooms! After 9 years I guess we are keeping this one ;)

Spring Break!

This as been such a fun week with Cole and Addison! We have been super busy getting out and doing things, lots of friends over and just great times! I am kinda in shock here that Cole's birthday is Saturday and he will be 10, it seems like he is still a lil' boy but nope he will be in 5th grade next year! We are gonna have just a few friends over and have some cake and pizza, looking forward to that on Friday! The New Year!!!!!!!

So I very much look forward to all 2010 has in plan. This year 09' just flew faster than any year I remember..I know I am getting older but still.. SOOO I am working on an inspiration Journal for 2010...hope to look back in 2011 and see that I have done many things that inspire me.
We all had a wonderful Xmas...I was super sicko, as well as Dale and Addison...so it was good timing to be stuck home and just rest. The Kiddos had an amazing Xmas. I know this is the last year Addison will believe in the Magic of Santa Clause so that is kinda sad but still it won't be so dang hard getting the gifts out and keeping secrets from her. For my Bday we baked cookies all day....more than 50% got tossed, under or over cooked..but it was a fun day. Addison really enjoyed the magic of Christmas this year..the cookies left out, the milk, the carrots for the reindeer. So I know i will miss that next year. I have some photos to share from making cookies on the 13th to Christmas day......hope you all are having a blessed week and wish you all the happiness life can give you in 2010~ xxoo

At the start of 2009 I thought I would give it a try to take a photograph a day and then turn it into a monthly Photo Collage. Happy November friends! I decided to format Addison's memory card last night and I found some HILARIOUS photos she took of herself! She has always been the happiest lil girl, so full of love and life. As I looked at her photographs they all reflect her in an amazing way. She practice's making her silly faces in the mirror (eyes rolled back in her head...etc) If she knew I was posting these she would probably be a bit embarassed but I cannot help myself. SO here is my lil girl...hope she puts a smile on your face today! Love and Blessings!

August Already…gone???

WOW did August just zip on by. With the kids back in school and busy days the month just poofed. Well it was a great one for sure. Both kids LOVE their teachers and really really enjoy going to school everyday! Cole is playing the trombone in the school band (just like his Mom, lol) Addison is trying to convince me she is NOT a girl but she is a BOY! That little one, she is a goof! When Cole's mouth is not talking non stop his nose is in a book reading away, his FAV series- The American Chillers. Cole joined the Dodgeball club after school on Tues. and Thurs. and he is also running for class student council! I am so proud of them both! They will both be starting Karate when the next session starts, and then Gymnastics again for Addy and prolly Soccer for Cole. Anything and everything I can do to keep them busy! I have been spending my time @ the school helping out in various ways, the classroom-site council-and the new W.I.N.G.S. group for Mom's. I also gave the school website a "face lift" its still in the works but here is a sneak peek-http://gces.ajusd.org/

Cole is going on another camping trip this weekend which means its an all girls weekend here, Addy has a sore throat :( I hope it goes away so we can stay up and have lots of "girly" fun...maybe she will even let me put some polish on her nails! Before school started we took a quick road trip to San Clemente CA....here are some pics from that trip and also the first day of school! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Luvs to you all <3

Magic of Summer

ok ok ok ok ok .......this post is for everyone who says I need to update, lol!

So lets see summer is here, kids are home! We r trying to keep as busy as we can! Addison is doing Gymnastics and Cole is doing Basketball. They will both be doing a week @ the Mesa Arts Center, ya'all know I love my kids to get creative! School finished great...straight A's for both my kiddos ...YAY! Addison is now 7 (pics below)...I have not been being creative..I need to kick myself and get movin. Our garden is doing Fabo...Lots of tomatoes and grapes! I have finally begun to let Cole go off on his own more (eeks)..he is now allowed to ride his bike to a close friends home. Hard to let him go, but when I think what I was doing in 4 th grade..I need to. Thank you all for the Birthday gifts for Addison, she was able to buy a new TV for her room (seeing as she put a magnet to her old one)! It actually rained here last night...soo super kewl! I am excited to see all the new CHA releases.

Please pray for my Uncle Dick he is in much need of prayer, ty in advance. Times like these I wish I lived closer...grrrr. K now for some pics---- Blessings to you all!

Nothing to do with me…

My blog is embarrassingly behind..it has nothing to do with me @ all and not keeping it up. This year has gone by like ziiiippppp its almost April, yikes! This year has blessed me with some amazing new friends and also has connected me with older friends through FB...and for that I am very grateful! Cole turned 9 years old on the 20th. I have a 9 year old...how did THAT happen. I still feel like I am 23...hmm. Addison has pulled out her 6th tooth. YES she pulls out her own teeth..who does that? I nevah did, nor Dale or anyone I know. Cole has lost 5 teeth but he is missing those 2 bottom adult teeth, so He will catch up. Yesterday Cole did something so amazing for me. We were @ a local store and Addison needed to use their restroom, so I went in with her and left Cole with the owner (been there sooo much we are friends) so anywho..I come out, Bought what I wanted. As we were walking out the owner calls for Cole telling him he forgot his 5 $ bill...so he runs back and grabs it. I asked him what he bought and he told me arrowheads (like over 100 is not enough but thats ok) So we get home...I am down the hallway and Cole comes and tells me that my computer is broke. So I come in here and OMGOSH!!!!!! Laying on top of red tissue paper was this gorgeous hand made bead bracelet and also a lil decoration that says: "Wine Not"!! With a note saying from Cole with the total written down - $17.75! Isn't that just the sweetest thing evah???? Totally made my night, he has such a BIG ♥

Tomorrow I am helping out @ the school in Addison's class and then taking Addy for another surgery for her nose. She gets bloody noses that are almost unstoppable @ times. .She is excited to have it done and not need to run to the school nurse 3 x a day!

365 Project…

This 2009 year has brought some very interesting surprises into my life. I made it through 08' thinking that 2009 has GOT to be better. So far it has been!!! I am busy workin' @ home and cleaning the house like a mad crazy woman for our showings...we have one tomorrow am (say a quick prayer). My brother Josh and his wife Angelika are coming into town 2morrow am!!! I am soo excited to see them :) Then later this month my sis Jenn is flying in to see the kiddos! It should be a fun month..I hope they don't mind sleeping on Cole's bunk bed..or the air mattress. No guest room..sighh. I hope I continue to do this through the entire year.

The weather has been nice and warm so I have been able to play outside with the kids a bunch. I am sooo needing to make some lo's with the new goodies..If only I did not have most of my stuff packed in boxes..unghhh.

Wow an entire month..

I cannot believe its been over a month since I have updated my blog. I think I have been busy updating facebook and neglected this. Some pretty scary stuff happened today. My kids gave me a letter when I picked them up from school- the letter basically said that today, Friday- a gun..a real gun, was found in one of the students backpacks!!!!!! Police came and took the child away- Yes child, they go to a K-5 school. Makes me so mad. Who are this child's friends? What grade? I have so many questions that I know will not be answered.

Last weekend Dale and Cole hiked to the top of the Superstition Mountain again! This time they took a much harder trail (Dale is still sore..hehe) Cole had a blast going through small caves and playing in little washes. Dale took an awesome photograph of Cole sitting on one of the rims...OMgoodness, I am so glad I was not there, I would have freaked out. Cole at 8 is such a trooper, he definately put all his energy to use that day! Well here are some pics from their hike, hope you enjoy- xxoo Love you all!

Thanksgiving outbreak of more POX!

We woke up to a nice surprise T-Day am when Addison was complaining of "itchy" spots on her tummy...So Nurse mom checks them out and YES we have the pox. I was worried she may not get them and then I may have to consider the immunization (not something we wanted for our children). So though we were just @ the Doc monday and found out she had Strep Throat, We called and there was a Doc on call who got her started on Acylivor right away. It is suppose to help with the number of pox...but so far she is beating Cole by a landslide. She is pretty uncomfortable but hopefully she will bounce back like Cole did. Addison also lost her second front tooth last week!!! So now I am singing the song.." All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" to her, she thinks I am a nut! So here are some pics of my Dear Daughter...warning, she is crying in a few but I promise I am not a mean mom..lol! Yep, thats right alot of itching going on over here..Cole got the chicken pox on Nov. 13th. He was an absolute trooper, put up with the cool baths, the meds, and did a terrific job trying not to scratch =) He still has some that have the scabs falling off but everyday I see less and less, Addison has not got them yet...but maybe had a mild case when she was younger..who knows. Addison has had a fever off and on since Wed. of last week and she was not really complaining of anything just a headache..so finally today I took her in to the Doc and she has full blown Strep Throat...a g a i n! With her having no tonsils I don't think she gets that sore of a throat, just the fever that does not go away. So 10 days of meds for her.

I have started on some Christmas crafts with the kids and also some shopping, This year seems to have just flown right on by. I also had some time to scrap a few Layouts so I will post those and pics of Pox Cole below.. No bites on our home yet, but we know it will sell if it is God's plan for us to move our family. So we pray and wait.

I hope everyone has an extra special Turkey Day, and eat extra Turkey for us caz we are stuck home and have a Pizza to make and root bear floats for the kids!!!! Love and Blessing to you all!- xo- Jules

Costumes and Candy!

Whoah....I think we have enough candy to last the next year or two..LOL! So I wanted to share the kids dressed up this year....Cole is just something scary...and Addison is Anikin (from Star Wars), like I said No more girly costumes for Addison, sigh. We had a blast, our community pool hosted a "Trunk or Treat", so we walked down there with our big wagon and flashlight, glow sticks etc... The kids loved that, several adults were really dressed up! They had the boxes that the kids put their hands in to guess what was inside...kinda creepy in the dark...hehe. Cole loved a witch that was brewing up brains..(with dry ice), very cool! Now we are dividing up the candy and adding to our prize box.

Huge Pumpkins!

This month has just flown............zip, gone..onto November! I think the flu was in our home this entire month..yuck. Cole and Addison are very excited to go Trick or Treating tomorrow, Addison chose to be a guy from Star Wars (yes a guy..LOL) and Cole is being something Scary with a mask this year. What happened to my Princess and Bob the Builder? So Addison is growing out of her Princess phase and is more interested in Cole's games and guys than anything else right now, I still canot get her to take even a practice Dance class..sigh. Though at school yesterday she did mention to me she may...may, want to try Gymnastics!!!

This week we got our pumpkins..I don't know if I ever had pumkins this big in my life, but the kids wanted these huge ones to carve out, so we decided to give it a shot. Below you will see pics of the finished pumpkins...What A MESS, I didn't think the stuff inside would e v e r end. They are both very proud of their designs they drew and also their help in carving! So tomorrow we go out for candy, I will post more pics later! Happy Halloween!

Moments in Time.

Addison and Cole have always had such a happy spirit about them. People always comment on how they just shine. While cleaning out and packing things up I came across so many older photographs and little notes. Notes of comments my children would make to me and I wrote down, so I would not forget. I think I could feel a 4" binder with "Love" notes from Cole and Addison, written to me. I think I got about 7 this weekend alone. Every little spot I turn, I find little folded up notes from both kids, they just make me smile and remember how special all these little moments are. Addison says some things that honestly blow my mind. When I was driving them home from school 2 weeks ago, Addy shares this with me:

"Mommy, if I could be any animal in the whole world I would want to be a Bird." why sweetheart, I ask? "Well then It would be so easy for me to fly through the clouds and get to Heaven and see God, Grandma Mary, Grandpa Warren, and all the Angels" "I would tell them how much I love them (everyone) them and how much you miss them (my mom and dad)." "Then I could just fly back down here to our house and be with you again, whenever I wanted"

She is so special, she says these things and they just thump right into my heart which I swear skipped a few beats during this convo.

I went through some photographs on my older hard drive and found some from they were younger, wow they change WAY to fast!!!!!!! Along with the kids changing, we are making some changes. We have put our house up on the market, please pray that it sells timely. We need to get the kids in a different school district for their middle/high school years. We are looking at the town Gilbert in Az. right now, we shall see where the cards fall. I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend, love to you all!!!

A new Month.

August already, wow. Cole and Addy have both started school. I am lucky to have had a fun summer enjoying their company. The time went too fast, as usual. They are both ready and excited to get learning again. I have been teaching them throughout the summer using a program I chose to do with the kids through their school, so they have had great learning experiences this summer.

Makes me think about my experiences. How and why certain people come into my life and why some leave. I have learned the hard way about friendships. I believe, some are meant to stay with you and others' probably guide me along my journey w/the Lord. I have come to know some wonderful people I am proud to call my Friends. Ya know the friend that says what you are going too, right before you say it...or type it in some cases?? My life is richer through these friendships.

" For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" Declares the Lord. " As the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)

I am trying my hardest to get through a mind stressing situation with my children. When we moved to Gold Canyon, we knew we were out in the middle of no where. We knew we were un-incorporated etc....... Everything we have needed I jump on the highway to get to the closest store etc... Well now Cole is in 3rd. grade Addison 1st..and we are looking at their middle school and High...I will say this. NOT where I want my children getting their education If I have any control over it. So now two years later here we go again. DO we move to a better school district, OR stay here and do the out of boundry thing with other schools, never assuring them they will start the next year there unless there is room???? AHHHHH I wanna scream. They were suppose to build new schools here but major budget cuts it is not gonna happen in my lifetime. Sooooo what to do????? Sell our home, move, start all over. With friends etc..... I know the friends I am close to now I will remain, and same with our kids. I think I just gotta let it go right to God's hands.

Our AC broke this month almost 2 days w/o air here..BLAHCKKKK. So paid the money to fix it, along with everything else this last month and NOW we think we may have to move. The original place we sent my hard drive to could not recover the info (very bad) so we paid to send it somewhere else, tons of $ but they may able to recover 85-100% of it. I am still waiting to hear from them. All of my graphic design work is on there along with almost 2 years of photographs....sigh.....deep breath. This started as me thanking all of YOU my friends but somehow I just let it out LOL. .. SO here are some photographs of over the summer and the kids first day of school. XO & God Bless!!!!!!

So, Yes I like lifetime movies. Especially the ones based on true stories. I watched this movie this week called " Why I Wore Lipstick to My Masectomy" It really got me thinking..................I really had a moment. A Moment where I realized who I have become. If I never went through the pain I did, I would not be who I am today. It's ALL God's plan. So while watching this movie a quote hit me and hard. She called it "Mantra' ( though I do not know yet what that is.) This was her motivation "Saying" to Live.--------------

"I am the Sky... nothing can stick to me. Planes fly through me. Storms roar past me. The sky is vast and unchanged, no matter what happens to it. For I am the Sky."

I ........ME........I .........am going to try my hardest to be "THE SKY".

Quiet Time…

Those of you who know my son Cole, you know he is very energetic...always on the go and to be honest, exhausting. Well this summer even keeping him busy with friends, activities, & sports is not enough. So my dear Son has now learned more about "The Chair". When I put him there for a Time Out I will NOT budge on how long the amount of time is. I hope you all do not think this is cruel, but for every moan, whimper, or "This is not Fair" he gets 5 more minutes added on. Well this day was priceless for me (he may not agree...LOL) He had worked himself up so much he spent a good 2 hours on "The Chair" until Dale got home. Well guess what?????? HE FELL ASLEEP, on the chair curled up in a ball. As I said before if you know Cole this is a hard thing to imagine. But he did. I was so proud he calmed down enough and just shut his eyes. I covered him with a blanket until Dale came home and he was Shocked...LOL. Anyway I just wanted to share that story. We had our first awesome monsoon come through and pour rain for maybe an hour...right away the kids just ran outside and played in the rain. I was looking for Addison when I found her standing under our down spout..hehe. This girl was SOAKED and LOVING ever minute of it..You can see the pics below.

Dale and Cole went camping for the weekend so Addy and I had a Girls only weekend...so much fun!!! My friend Kim and her Daughter Jo came over on Saturday and we had a little spa treatment. We painted the Girls nails and Toes...we all had a blast. The pics from the Boys camping trip are amazing, I will put them up in the next entry. Cole even saw a Black Bear..eeks.

It Comes in 3’s…

The old saying that everything always comes in 3's seems to be pretty accurate. Whether it is good, bad, exciting, sad..anything, it always seems to come in 3's...or is it just me? So it seems to ring true for appliances as well. We lost our Fridge, TV, and Washing Machine all in a Day's time. We replaced the TV & Fridge, and had the washer repaired..all delivered and fixed on the same day..LOL. When the TV came, the box was just what the kids needed to burn some energy off..so we kept it for them to play in, hehe! Here are some pics:

We have now what is the start of my all Stainless Steel kitchen, A stainless Steel French Door Bottom Freezer/Fridge...YAY!!!

It has taken some getting use to but It is growing on Dale and I. So plan is, as the other appliances hit the dust we will replace our "Bisque" with the Stainless. Wonder how long that will be?

My Aunt sent my DD a gift for her Birthday and in it included this clear tote bag that you fill with 4x6 photos, it is soo super great! Made by Cupcakes & Cartwheels. Something every scrapper should have :) Thanks Aunty K!!!!

The World Turns…

I often wonder what my life would be like if my Parent's did not pass on. I think about all of the good memories am amazed where I am today. I am Blessed to be where I am now, God's plan has lead me to where I am and the Family he gave me. Dale had the kids are outside now and I was able to take a pic of a recent LO.

Here is a Photograph of some Tomatoes we grew in our garden, I think this year has been the best! Yummy Yummy Yummy!

So the layout above tells alot about me and my children, though you may not see it right away (or know it). I tell my children I am ALWAYS in their Hearts..NO Matter What. So even when I am gone and not here on earth, The will feel me in their Hearts. They love knowing I am always there, all Day through school, anytime I am not around...they know right where I am. Forever in My Heart and Your's I Pray with them Daily.

Before & After…

Cole needed to have surgery on his eye to correct a muscle that was almost 3 times what it should be.....He was so Brave, I am very proud of him. Everything went very smooth and today he even made it to Basketball Practice ( I do not think anything can stop him)! Addison's rash is gone I just have those dang sore joints in my hand, knees, & feet YUCK! In this Pic you can see what Cole could do with his eyes before the surgery:

He could take his right eye and point it anywhere opposite of his left. Now after his surgery he cannot even do that when he tries. I am so happy we were lead to the right specialist. This is Cole recovering:

His eye got more swollen and Black and Blue but he is full of his usual energetic self..LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing will keep this Child down. I have finished some Layouts with the *NEW* Paper Trunk CHA release, I just need to take some Photographs =)

It’s a Colorful World!

On Sat. we set up paint and 2 18x24" canvas in my studio, getting ready to paint. The kids both had the same colors/brushes to use and this is what they came up with...

As you can see they both were inspired by each other in different ways while they painted. SO now I need to find the perfect place to hang these beauties :)

Cole's eye surgery went great and he is recovering well. Trying to keep him "down" is a challenge in itself, he is always on the move.

When we got back from our vacation I noticed this terrible rash on Addison, took her right in to the Doc and she was diagnosed with Fifth Disease (Erythema Infectiosum). Dale and I also caught the virus, I only had terrible joint pain, but Dale got both the rash and joint pain...NASTY stuff. My hands still hurt now as I write. The Doctor told him Disney keeps them in bussiness..LOL! Here is what Addison looked like for over a week-

The lace looking rash was on her face, arms and legs. My poor sweetie was so very uncomfortable. We now just have to keep her from getting to hot or it brings it back out. Luckily Dale did not get the rash on his face so he could still go to work ;)

Time Flies!

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have logged in to update my blog/website. Life has been so incredibly crazy. So much has happened I don't even know where to start. I write here wondering, do I write for me or do I write for everyone that is reading. The answer is, I write for me. I print out all my entries and include them in my Journal. So life has it's ups and downs. I write about them all. so........... Lots of Happy Family Moments!

It has been very down for me lately. I have been very sick with my ear and other health problems. It has kept me off of my computer, away from my friends/family, and honestly sad. I am doing better now but am mad at myself for the self-pity I feel. It is wrong, but I really want a break, when does it end? Or does it for me? It really makes no difference, I feel the same way inside.

On another non mental note:- Addison graduated Kindergarten, we went to Legoland, Laguna Beach, Disneyland!!!! It was fun, Dale planned the entire trip and did an awesome job!!! We have had a very busy summer, It has been really hot... too much for the kids to go outside and play. So I have been playing and working with them inside. Addison is reading sooo well for a 5 yr. old. She is reading chapter books now. Cole is into his rocks and crystals as always. Tomorrow we are going to paint on very large canvas. I cannot wait to see what the kids do.

We went to Laguna Beach first, Legoland, then Disney. We left the day after school ended so it has a bit much for the kiddos. We had a blast though, the kids loved the pool at our hotels. I slept during the drive. The rolling hills to Ca. are just yucky for me. Meclazine and out; good for me.

When life gets in the way.

My life the last few months feels like a rollercoaster. Ups and Downs, Highs and Lows. Not to mention busy with a capital B. Here is a quick update, I hope everyone who is reading this is doing great!

To start, my Addy is riding without traning wheels and confidence doing it!!!! Cole has had his 8th Birthday, Nintendo DS has replaced his leapster..we are having a Cosmic Bowling party on the 12th of April for his Buddies, he is looking forward to it. I received the most gorgeous Flowers from my Best Friend Carrie, Gerber Daisy's and mini roses...sooooo Perfect. THANK YOU CARES!!! Dale caught the biggest Rattle snake yet, sneaking out of our front yard. My friend Tracy and her kids..Hannah and Kayla and Me and the Kids went to Mcdonalds to celebrate Cole and Hannah in the Math Bee...this super nice man won the Boxing mit you see above, and just out of kindness gave it to Cole. You know those money eaters with the "grabber". Cole was so happy! I was very proud of Cole placing so well in his Math Bee. Addison was invited and attended her first official Princess Tea Party, it was wonderful to be surrouded by soo many Princessess! I danced my BUTT off at the School's DJ Dance Party...from nine thirty to one thirty..non stop, phew I am getting old. I barely knew any of the songs played for the 5th graders..Yikes! Lets see...... My allergies turned into this cold I cannot get rid off..argh, Addison was sent home Monday from school with a fever...When it got to almost 104, we knew it was strep again...and yep. She is feeling better after starting the antibiotics, though she has been sleeping the nights in my arm pit....so I am t i r e d. Hmmmm, our trip is planned next month to go to CA. again and do Disney and San Diego..Lego Land!!!!! YAY, My kids cannot wait to go back to the beach, we are so blessed to be able to just get in our car and drive there. My ear has been acting up since my allergies/cold...will it ever end???? It’s Garden Time!

Hooray for Paper Trunk!!!!!!

My friend Carrie just debuted her second line of papers and stamps for the Scrapbook Retailers from everwhere in CA.!!!!! I hear the show has a HUGE success!!! I knew it would be nothing less. Paper trunk, along with two brand new paper lines (JellyBean, 1974)- 2 new 12" coordinating border stamps- ALSO debuted a CHIPWHEEL!!! This little nifty embellishment has sooo many possibilities and was an ENORMOUS hit at the show...YAY Carrie!!!!!! All of the Paper is recycled and using vegtable dye inks, so bonus on being green =) Also the texture of the papers have is something you have to work with, its like nothing out there now. It Takes, Determination, Strength, and Courage…

It takes, Determination, Strength, and Courage... and my Cole and Dale have those 3 special qualities. I am sooo proud as I write this post, Most of you know that I live in the Desert, in our Backyard we can see the Majestic Superstition Mountain. It reaches over 5,000 feet high and is tough hard rugged desert terrain. Well on January 7th, Cole and Dale packed up their gear and thought they would take on the challenge to get to the top. Survival packs along with them, they headed out. My son with such determination would not stop, he just kept pushing and going and going. They found some cool washes, running with water from previous rain. Cole collected rocks along the way, they both took many photographs. As you can see from the Photographs..THEY MADE IT TO THE VERY TOP!!!!!!!! (An 8 1/2 hour hike total) Cole is the youngest boy where we live to accomplish this..soooo They are going to be in our Local Paper!!!! I am so happy for them both, Dale had wanted to make the hike since we moved here, never did he imagine he would be doing it with his 7 year old son. What a memory they will both share.

You will be 10 years after marriage? Dale and I will be celebrating just that on the 28th of Feb., I know how quickly time goes by...but still am amazed at just how fast it really does go by. In 10 years I have grown so much closer to Dale and Love Him even more then ever thought possible, he has saved me ....in my life. He has been sent to me for a reason, I have always known that. He is my Angel. We are celebrating our Anniversary in Vegas..YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...and he even bought me a gift....I helped a bit..LOL----here is a peak-

For "OUR TEN YEARS" of love, commitment, and faithfullness, I could not be happier, this is the third peice of jewelry i will have received from Dale: Wedding Ring, Diamond Earings, and now our Anniversary Ring!!!!!!! Thanks so much my LOVE!!!!!! I cannot wait to go and rule the Black Jack Table hehe!!!!!!!!!!! Who would think I would have an almost 8 yr. old and an almost 6 yr. old, I still feel so young.

I very much look forward to 2008. I wish God's Blessings upon all of my friends & family. I will continue to pray for you all each and every night =)

At 30 she has found her true love, I always knew she would. His name is Richard, she is so very happy, as am I for HER!!!!! They planned a wedding in Aruba, sadly I was not there but I have to share some pics with all my friends.......She just looks so stunning! I am so proud of her and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her and Rich.

Christmas was so very enjoyable with the kids this year, they are at that "perfect" age! Cole and Addison were both overwhelmed with Joy to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ :) Love and Peace filled our home and I hope all of yours as well.

How fast things can happen and time can fly, especially when your eyes are closed. Dale was sick this week with a nasty cold, in the meantime one afternoon (Dale snozzzzinnnggg away) I had gone out to pick up some meds and when I came back I was in AWE............. This year, finally I could attend Dale's work Christmas Party! It was a super blast. A night away from my kids I love, a night with Dale all to myself YEAH!!!! We danced, talked, laughed, and had a super great time. I really enjoyed meeting some of his wonderful friends he has talked about the past years. He, well WE are very blessed he still even has his job. Working for Pulte homes, and the way the housing industry has been going the last few years, it is nothing but a miracle he is still working at Pulte. So I did not pull out my tripod but I did get pics of he and I on our big night out....here ya go---

Thank you to my dearest friends whom sent me emails and cards on my Birthday, I truly love you all. This new year is going to be great, so many unexpected turns in my path this year, but I know its all for the better. My Sis Jenn is getting married in Aruba on January 4th, so very happy for her, I wish I could be there. My Brother Joshua and his wife Angelika are doing wonderful, soulmates for sure.

My Lil' children and their souls, I cannot explain it. Addy and I sat here signing her up for www.clubpenguin.com it took us at least an hour to get the user name she wanted that was not chosen.....It has to have God, or Jesus, in it. (xoxoxo my sweet addison)...so finally we came up with this....1God2Love. That is her, my Lil penguin always putting and making God first in Her life. It is amazing.

I am 32- WOW!

Can it be? Am I really 32? Where on Earth has this entire year gone? If I was my Mother, six years from now I would have Cancer, and 9 years from now I would leave this Earth. I think that is why this has been my hardest Birthday to date. I am through it. The hardest part. No more. All good from here on, I shall celebrate my life as I have before. Not thinking about silly years or dates. They mean nothing.

SOOOOO My Birthday...what a blast!!!!....A secret tradition...Dale and I always celebrate it the day before...hehe! So i had my cake and presents last night..LOL. Dale brought me home some wonderful wine, a wine pourer (I always spill), Candles, A GUITAR!!!! He also took the kids out and had them pick me out some gifts, i got some great journals, candles, jewelry etc....LOVED it all!!!!!!! Oh so the Guitar? I am teaching myself. My Mother played, and i wanna learn too, my kids each have one and are going to be taking lessons soon...soo i thought hey why not, right??????? Here is a pic of my Baby:

I am doing OK so far, I just need more time....after the Holidays for sure. So i got a few pics emailed to me from Addison's Birthday Party that she ahem...maybe cheered at..LOL Take a peek:

What A PARTY!!!!!!

Never would i have imagined Addison Cheering with an ASU Cheerleader, but that is what she did today!!!!!!!!!!!!! The experience was once in a lifetime.......where oh where was my camera????????????????????? HOME!!!!!! We were so excited to leave I forgot it...can u even imagine it???????? Of ALL Days... She had soooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!! My only hope is to get copies and post later. She had such a fun day. What a blast this party was. An ASU Cheerleader came over and taught the girls "real cheers" My Darling Addison...had the biggest frown on her face because we are the "Sun Devils" Here in Arizona............ Thus she could not understand why she should cheer to the Devil. My Sweet Girl with such a pure heart, could not cheer, barely smile. I tried to explain to her it was OK, but she refused an explanation. That's MY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Lord GOD RULES ALL ETERNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She knows it. Her BEST friends now- Shea, Sidnee & Brooke I believe are going to be lifetime friends now. These Girls are the most polite well mannered girls you will ever meet, we are so blessed to have their family in our lives. I am thankful for everything in my world right now, this moment, it shall pass, BUT, I AM STILL THANKFUL. I Pray for those whom may need God's Help, I pray for Mary and her continued healing and bright spirit. She Will Be healed, I can see it in her Eyes...........as I did my Aunt Joan's. SHE WILL SURVIVE THE BATTLE. I have looked her in the eyes, I Know. I Pray I have what she has............................................................................................ My Grandchildren. That's ALL.

Over Already???

I find it very hard to beleive that this year is almost at an end. Am i the only one who feels like it has flown way faster than any other year????? Maybe that is just what happens as I get older ..LOL! Seriously, this is the fastest year I ever remember passing so quickly. I try so very hard to write down all those special moments and everday ones too, but wow looking back not sure how well i really did, seeing a whole year has passed. I can look back and know my children are closer to the Lord and Dale and I am so Proud of that, they have such true love and Glory in their Hearts, we could never ask for more. As they quickly grow, so does their relationship with God. They love God and look forward to being in Heaven. I am not sure I knew what that when I was five years old. Addy and Cole amaze Dale and I every day with their actions and words. Such Grown Up Souls and Hearts they have....that is it.

I am looking forward to Christmas, thank you to everyone whom emailed me or left a message here on my last post, I truly appreciate the love. All of our shopping is done..YEAH!!! We have received some wondeful thoughtful gifts already, THANK YOU! We are getting the tree up this weekend, and also I have a Birthday party to take Addison to, friends of Cole's since Kindergarten. I know we will have a blast, she is going to get to cheer with a cheerleader from ASU!!!!!!!!! We cannot wait, just finished shopping for the girls today.

On another note, I need to make an appt with my special ear doc guy, my ear has been bugging me for about a month now, I may need to have him do another surgery and replace my tube, I am very very off balance all the time and naseous lately...no fun. It could be the stress and rush of the Holidays, I dunno, I give up guessing, LOL...so I will just bite the bullet and go see him AGAIN.......Argh. This is no easy Disease to live with. Meneires Disease. Uncommon, yet i hear of of many that have it. If you know of anyone that has it it or has had it please share here, I would love to hear about their experience and what worked or did not work for them. Thank you in advance.

Clouds that may pass…

The
clouds that stay and follow me over my head do not last for long. I am sooo
blessed to have such wonderful friendships and an amazing Husband that helps
those clouds pass quickly. Out of the darkness and into the light. I have had
to fight for 19 years and will continue to do just that but I am ready to do
just that. Just as I have been. Not all those that know me just passing me by
on the street or in a store would know I have had such a struggle going on in me all
the time. I feel the strength of my Mother's embrace, I hear her last words
to me, I hear mine to Her. It will be 19 yrs. on the 29th, since she has been
physically out of my life and been replaced by fear. I wonder what tomorrow
holds for my children and I and Dale. So much changes so quickly. I have God,
my Savior, He gets me through each day as I stumble. The clouds continue to
part as I believe. I will always believe. I will always put my trust in the
Lord. I know my life has had its meaning and has more. I know I have influence
on my Children and even their Children. I already am planning my days with Cole
and Addison's Little ones. I will not waste ONE moment. Life is way to short.
My Father would say: " You cannot enjoy it once you are gone" and he never knew
he would pass so early in his early 50's, He lived every day for each moment. Dale and
I are doing the same. We have been heart-broken over past experiences but that
just makes us stronger. We know what everything we have done is all we can do,
and is done. Everything is in God's hands now. These razors that bite at me
and only me, not Dale. Will be something I will fight against forever. BUT I
will not let them win. Yes, I am in a tug of war, I have felt despair and pain. I have
been in those Dark Clouds, but I am ME, and I believe in GOD, Together we will
win, These dark clouds will part and I will have my peace I soo long...not just
every once in a while, but every day. To wake up everyday here in AZ and want
the rain is very very sad. I am tired of the sun. It hurts my eyes. Life is
crazy. Lucky I have Dale to fall to, He is my Arms of safety. I pre apologize for this entry, i am vulnerable right now. I love you all. xoxoxoxoxoxo-J

Swing Swing to the Sky!

Out with the old and in with the new....swing set that is, or "Tree Fort" my kids call it :) We needed to retire the old one, it was splintering apart from this Hot AZ. sun. Cole and Addison have enjoyed so many days out there playing we knew we needed to replace it. We are so blessed to be able to give them this. Dale was lucky to have some night work and spent the days putting it together. They have a six foot club house area, a 12 ft turny slide, (what I call) our Lemonade Stand, A flower Box, Cedar roof and shingles I helped put up :). I think the rock climbing wall and swings of course are their favorite. Addy at 5 amazingly makes it all the way across the money bars.....eeks, holding my breath and saying a prayer each time. Will we put sand in the 6 ft. sandbox area underneath???? Not sure yet, keep ya posted....Our Neighbors are thrilled to see the kids outside playing now that it is kinda cooling off. What a GREAT DAD to put this together peice by peice for them...I love ya Dale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trick Or Treat!

That time of year came sooo fast this year...Halloween! I am so glad I bought the Kids Costumes very early, it really snuck up on Dale and I this year. We did not even do pumpkins...sigh. The kids did not seem to mind, they were sooo excited to get dressed up and head out with their friends for some fun and candy. Poor Addy still had croup from earlier in the week along with me and my yearly Halloween bug. BUT we went out anyway...YAY!!!!! We had such a great time with wonderful friends and Dale also came along this year to help out since Addy and I were not feeling to well. I did not realize it until I was taking photographs that both my children chose costumes in Red and Black..LOL, these just happen to me my new fav colors lately...hehe!

My New Pre-Ordered book By Joel Osteen f i n a l l y came yesterday!!!! I have had this ordered since the first day possible. I have not had much time to get through it, but what I have read is so inspiring and already brings me feeling closer to God. He is an amazing speaker and can really put real life into perspective. Dale and I were blessed to see him live last year and hope to see him again this year. He just takes my breath away with his Love for Our Lord. It is nothing but contagious. I have been trying the last few years to really make a difference in the lives of people i know and bring them closer to the Lord. I can only pray I am doing my best. I know my purpose, and I will not stop. God works behind the scenes in all Our lives, I know God has given this life to me, and I am going to make the most of it. "Become a Better You" 7 steps to improving your life every day, is the most recent book from Joel. I knew it would come sooner or later....Addison knows that In the past I owned a salon and was a Hairstylist. I cut Cole's Hair, Mine, Dale's, Color mine and of course TRIM her's. Well her friends in Kindergarten all have the famous cute "Bob" haircut.....so just when her hair was getting long enough to braid, pull all the way back, grew out the bangs...ok you get it, she asks me to cut her hair to her CHIN..AHHHHHHHH!!!!! AND she wants BANGS!!!!!!!!!!! I would not touch her hair all weekend, but she kept asking....finally i decided if this is what she really wants I will do it for her, it IS her hair. So i cut the first cut from the back, it was 6" long, I cried. Dale lectured me that i was confusing her and to go back and finish what she wanted...so I did....UNGH, she looks Beautiful, she is a Amazingly Gorgeous Girl: Short or Long hair but let me tell you how hard that was. FYI... She is Thrilled, everyone at school Loves the new "do" and I have to admit I do as well. Lesson learned, mom needs to really listen to child.

The Glory of the Desert

Since moving here way out near the Superstition Mountains, I have often wondered if my family would be better somewhere else? Dale and I fell in love with all of God's glory that we felt surrounding us everywhere the moment we came here over about 7 years ago, to this mountain, this place. When i drive i feel close to the Lord, I feel close to my Mom and Dad, I feel a huge power of Love. My Husband and children feel it too. The beauty and the glory of the desert. The one day passing of a gorgeous female Deer, to a Coyote the next. Gardening all year round and finding caterpillars one day, and a black widow the next. We have learned the beauty but also the dangers of this place that is our home. But all of these dangers we are aware of, and would not trade them for the beauty any day. My dear Cole was running around the house on Oct. 7th screaming "Bobcats Bobcats"... he was in his room playing and they were on the block fence right outside his room, a Mama and two babies, I sent Dale with my camera to grab some shots, when he spooked them they jumped the fence and ran under our neighbors car to safety.....

I have missed talking with so many of you, Dale made some major upgrades to my computer, YAH DALE!!! SO I hope to be back on alot more and we can catch up, I feel completely out of the SB loop. I love ya and miss ya all!!!!! Oh and I cannot say goodbye without an update on my kiddos...LOL, Cole starts Basketball today, he is very excited, Addy will be starting a dance class with her friend from school, she has made sooooo many friends its amazing. If you remember the Jesus on her Head Story I shared a while back...Yes he is still on her head and now all over her, we (Addison and I- meet in Heaven every night in our dreams) We have so many secret special mommy daughter moments together, I am so proud of how she is turning into a Big Girl. Cole still thinks I am a "cool" mom and we to have our special moments so i could not be happier or prouder of them both. OH and they both have a new cousin, Dale's sister Cari had her little boy Timmothy Matthew Sykes...YAY!!!! We got to see him just hours old.......yes my baby itch kicked in and has not left yet. That is a quote from John L. Spalding. I find it SO true. This week for some reason I felt the desire to learn how to do something new, create something. Then with 2 Lil cousins on the way it hit me...I will knit them hats!!!!! So I went and bought the yarn and everything else I needed....and this yarn you see above Addison picked out for herself. I tested my "Hat" knitting skills on a hat for Addy first...and this is what I ended up with! Now it is to small for her, BUT for my first time making a hat, I am pretty happy. So then on to the newborn Hats- I made two, then another for Adddison....it fit her this time!!! I also made a "Beanie" hat for Cole out of camoflauge yarn. He loves it! SO though I do not have time it seems for anything, I did somehow find the time to accomplish my Hats this week :)

I also mailed out 2 layouts for the upcoming Fabulous Friendships book by Memory Makers that will be coming out next year. I can't wait to see the book! Carrie oh Carrie has a *toot* for that book as well too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Carrie! Kim Moreno? Oh why yes.........was that a *toot*???? Congrats girls!!! Love to ya all :)

{Beauty & Baseball}

Well, who would have thought I would have a Beauty that plays baseball? Well T-Ball for now. This girl can catch, slide, and HIT! She is starting Dance in October, hmmmmmm, not so sure on that one..LOL, Cole is Loving baseball, its just still so Hot. This last Saturday we took the kids rock climbing and Cole proudly made it to the top & Addison had a blast hanging on as tight as she could after her practice. Addy has made friends with all the little ones in her class, it is great to watch them all run up to her on the playground. Cole has kept close contact with his friends from First grade and its great to watch him play when he does not see me.....the boys chase the girls...hehe. Time is going by quickly, Dale's Sister Cari is having her Baby Shower for Baby Timmy on 8-25-07, Cole and Addy cannot wait to have a Cousin!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Day of School!

The time has come....................I am here at my computer.........typing............with not one sound but my own!!!!! Both of my children started school today. Addison started full day Kindergarten, Cole started 2nd grade!!!!!! It went so well this morning. I had purchased extra needed donations for each classroom so i had that ready to go in one HUGE bag. I looked quite hilarious with Addy's backpack around my shoulder, my purse, and this HUMUNGO bag LOL.... I could barely walk. I brought the donations into Addy's classroom and stayed with her a bit. Gave her a kiss, whispered a prayer in her ear, then left. I expected tears...nothing. She looked a bit unsure but that was all......so we shall see when i pick her up today how her day went. I then went over to Cole's classroom to drop off the donations to the classroom. His teacher is a first year teacher, her name is Miss Sole. Cole said she has to be great to have the name sole-"Soul" He knows that she must have a giving heart and Soul, he tells me. Isn't that great? I did get a BIG TIME wake up slap me in the face moment while leaving his classroom.........BIG SIGH........I went over to Cole's desk, leaned over I told him I loved him and gave him a hug, he told me he loved me back...as I walked away...I could hear several boys saying ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yuck. I looked at Cole and he was so embarassed. So I guess in 2nd grade its not cool to kiss your mom back ......sigh...cry....HMPH! Here are pics from our morning today:

Sports, School & HEAT!

This Saturday morning was the first morning for Addison's T-Ball Practice and then the hour after Cole's Catch Pitch followed......wowsers, it is still WAY to HOT out (110-115)...poor Addy was so flushed from the heat I left and bought her some gaterade, I think we went through 6 bottles of water in less than 2 hours! But Cole did AWESOME, he can surely hit and catch great, Addy did great as well, I will have pics next week. Addison met her teacher on Thursday and that went super, she is very excited to start kindergarten and I am excited to volunteer as much as i can. Cole will meet his teacher on Monday, then they both start FULL days on Wednesday!!!!!! This means I am getting old.....my LiL babies are not so LiL anymore...sigh. I will have more time to work which will be great seeing as I just got something that will take up alot of my spare time and I am excited to get started. Things are going to be very very busy around here. Busy is good, I need to keep it an organized chaos...LOL Here are a couple shots I took recently that I enjoy:

What a treat to escape the Heat and drive to Ca. We stayed at the Bahia Resort on Mission Bay, our room had a door that opened right to the bay on the beach, and we could walk just minutes to the Ocean!!! So many wonderful memories... we went to Sea World, Played in the Ocean, Found shells and crabs on Shell Beach, Shopping, Running through the sand, Late nights, and sooo much more. Always such a great feeling to come home, but cannot wait to go back =) Enjoy the Photographs:

Addison has a love for photography just like her Mom and Brother. So on July 12th it was very hot and I had 2 bored children...."very bored" as they would say. So I think lets get out all our camera's. We are blessed to each have our own. I then asked the children to walk around our home and take photographs of whatever they like. They could move things around and make it like a "set" or just take them randomly. We had the funnest 2 hours!!!! The latest "additions" to our family! I have been wanting to post these photographs for a while. Since living in the Desert..having Fish for a pet just isn't so "cool" when all your friends have reptiles..LOL Being a Reptile lover myself I could not argue, turtles being my fav...but Cole and Addison fell in love with these Leopard Geckos. So we came home with 2 - YEAH BABY!!! Addy named hers Kippy--- You will see alot of him/her, he is very calm and and outgoing. Cole named his Star Commander, you may not see to much of him, he has already escaped once, he is very wild, and does not like to be held.....I am trying to tame him down for Cole. We do not know yet if they are Boys or Girls...we should know by the end of the year. Here they are--- Oh and Yes, Addy would sleep with her's on her chest if I would let her..LOL! ---Meet "Kippy"-----

My Mother the Artist.

My Mother was an Artist in every way...from Painting, to pottery, weaving, knitting, crocheting (sure i spelled that wrong). She loved all Art, and created all her own Art. I know this is where I get my love for creating the scrapbook pages I do and knitting and crocheting the blankets i do as well. Why am I talking about this today? Well yesterday I had a paint day with the kids. For alomst 5 hours we did nothing but paint in my Studio. We enjoyed every minute while we were together. Addy had started a Painting and asked for my help, I said with much hesitation yes. Why did I hesitate? Well for several reasons.....BUT the main one being I want all her Art to come from HER and not from what I would do with it. But while we worked together on mixing colors and painting the background and Cole was beside us working on his own Creation, I found it quite rewarding. Addison loved and cherished my help and suggestions and in the end she could not have been more thrilled with what "WE" had made together. Mother and Daughter. I am so thankful for my little girl. I shall Cherish this Piece of Art Forever.

Addy’s Surprise & Happy 4th Pics!!!

Happy 4th of July!!! We had a blast at home doing the small party poppers...hehe!...I think I have this photo thing figured out with this new blog since changing servers....so Addy's big surprise was more of a surprise for ME for her 5th Birthday. She wanted her ears Double Pierced. I can hear the squirms..LOL. First you have to know something about Addison, she does not flinch at pain, shots, getting blood taken etc.... so ever since her 4th birthday she has not stop asking for her second ones. So I have avoided it all year and when we were at Claires the other day, i was looking for hair clips, she said ..."Oh thanks mom now i can have my ears pierced again"...LOL So I said to myself.....you only live once, it is gonna make her sooooo happy, lets do it!!!!!! SO we did!!!! She did not flinch and is SO Happy and Proud of her new earings. For those of you that are thinking....um NO more btw...till she is older LOL. This is it. I wanted to put up a few of my favorite Photographs from my trip to Chicago, very hard to decide since I had such a blast in Chicago staying with my Sister Jenn and going to my Bro's Wedding!!!!!! It was great to see family I have not seen in a while and also friends of Josh's that I have not seen in years....some I could barely recognise, it was great!!!! We also took my kids to the cemetary for the first time to meet Grandpa Warren and Grandma Mary and that was a very special day. They have looked forward to that for a while now. Angelika (Josh's wife) did so many special things to make the wedding day special for my Brother and let him know she was including our Mom and Dad spiritually in every way she could. It was just beautiful. I met Jenn's Fiance Richard for the first time. He is a wonderful kind and loving and strong man. I could not be happier for them. Jenn threw a Birthday party for Addy the night we arrived and made her first double layered cake...YUM! Addison has not stopped taking photo's with her new digi camera Jenn & Josh gave her. I actually got to visit scrapbook stores in the windy city for the time....YEAH.....had to buy some goodies too..hehe! I miss you all and cannot wait to catch up, we arrived back from my Brother's Wedding this week so we are catching up around the house...and hmmmm guess?
